An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Account Technician (Marine) within Aon Corporate - Aon Marine (UK) based in Birmingham. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver high quality and efficient service to clients, provide efficient delivery of all transactional service activities and provide full administrative and operational support to the client team and proactively assist in the day to day running of the clients risks and insurance programmes. We will consider candidates from a commercial insurance background, essential experience isn't restricted to just Marine Insurance although Marine experience is preferred!As Account Technician (Marine)your key responsibilities will include: Client Support - Maintain and monitor renewal lists in conjunction with client managers and agree timetables for renewal policy production - In coordination with client managers produce policies on new and renewal business ensuring: expiring endorsements and/or amendments (as applicable) are incorporated; insurer amendments are updated; and that all policies conform to FSA standards - Monitor, quality check, obtain sign-off from authorised signatories (where applicable), and issue client documentation and invoices within contract certainty and divisional timeframes - Monitor compliance with policy warranties for all accounts within portfolio Team Support - Provide administrative support to the client managers to ensure: all administrative and compliance requirements are met; relevant information is shared among appropriate individuals; and client service is delivered to agreed standards - Provide support to the team leader in monitoring and reporting team revenues against budget - Maintain team diary to ensure warranties, service level agreements, key dates etc are monitored and actioned as necessary - Act as a liaison point for the team with the Finance team including resolving issues involved in reconciliation of funds and accounting queries from clients, insurers and colleagues as required - Carry out adhoc projects, tasks and other duties that may arise from time to time as specified by senior management - Update and maintain all IT systems and procedures to reflect all process flows, market and regulatory requirements Compliance - Adhere to the standards, procedures and best practices of Aon Limited to ensure compliance with FSA, regulatory and Aon Ltd policy requirements - Carry out file reviews for Tier 1+ staff within the team in line with the T&C scheme and report the results to the Operations Director and business supervisors Corporate Liaison - Liaise with Corporate colleagues on any issues arising - Ensure quality and accuracy on all documentation produced including invoices, contract documents, cover notes and insurer policies - Provide technical and case specific guidance to the Corporate team and ensure that any queries raised are resolved in a timely manner and advice is given on complex casesAs Account Technician (Marine)your skills and qualifications will include: Educated to A Level standard or equivalent Sound technical insurance knowledge Expertise in Market Reform Contract requirements Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service Good understanding of compliance and ability to adhere to FSA regulation What we're looking for in you An individual with good communication skills, excellent attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team Salary Competitive salary + 25 days holiday, pension & benefits package Aon Aon Corporation (NYSE: AOC) is the leading global provider of risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, human capital and management consulting.
