The Client
Our client is a leading transport management solutions provider specialising in vehicle tracking and telematics with clients across the UK, European mainland and the US. This client wins increased market share year on year.
Job purpose
and#61607; Develop new business in existing and new target accounts.
and#61607; Responsible for sales to new name, large customers (greater than 100 vehicles) primarily in the UK.
and#61607; Develop and maintain an opportunity pipeline approximately four times the annual sales target.

- Strong commercial knowledge of a variety of sectors including transport, logistics, retail, automotive and distribution market place.
Technical duties and responsibilities
- Achievement of individual and team based targets in terms of profitability on a quarter-by-quarter basis.
- Responsible for the generation and conversion of sales leads into profitable business, ensuring both revenue and profit margin is maximised. This will be achieved through an appropriate level of pursuit of new accounts and qualified leads.
- To undertake an average of six face to face meetings with prospects per week.
- Define sales campaigns to ensure a successful ``win strategy`` is in place for every opportunity.
- Responsibility for ensuring that Microlise is invited to bid for all work opportunities in areas where Microlise has competency.
Technical duties and responsibilities
- To undertake prospecting activities for a minimum of 1 day unless otherwise approved by Sales Director.
- To undertake sales briefings, seminars and other events to assist with pipeline development.
- Responsibility for conveying expert advice to business prospects, in all areas of Product Portfolio.
- Responsibility for upkeep of personal professional development ensuring knowledge of key business areas and technical developments. This will include knowledge and evaluation of sales techniques used in the transport, supply chain and mobile solutions arenas.
