Job Description
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Account Manager to join our AMA Waterways department within Fred. Olsen Travel.
Working closely with the General Manager, your focus will be on increasing bookings with new and existing Trade Accounts, with a clear strategy to increase year-on-year trade business effectively. Your role will more specifically include (but not be limited to) the following:
- Identifying business potential with trade accounts and agreeing sales plans to promote AMA Waterways
- Maintaining active performance via all forms of communication including personal visits
- Working closely with 'remote workers’ to increase direct sales
- Overall responsibility for the content and relevance of E-Blasts, utilising preferred suppliers to maximise margins
- Co-ordinating marketing activity and liaising with our PR company to ensure up to date information is communicated
- Organising and Attending trade and consumer events, training sessions and educational visits as required
Qualifications
You should be an influential communicator, customer orientated, with the skills to build lasting and profitable relationships. You will have a proven record in delivering sales results and managing accounts in multiple locations. A thorough knowledge of the travel business is essential, the geography of Rivers worldwide and River Cruise/AMA Waterways products is an advantage. Good contacts within the industry is also beneficial.
