We are looking for a dynamic, sales focused individual to join the team as an Account Executive based in the South East.  The successful candidate will manage and develop new business within the region across our full range of insurance products and services.

This is a remote role and will require the individual to work from home and attend visits across the whole area and monthly meetings at Head Office in Somerset.

The role includes:

Deliver New Business income and Existing Business income targets through effective :

  • Identification of new prospects / decision makers / renewal dates, using our prospect database and own research
  • Handling of any allocated leads
  • Diary system / management of pipeline
  • Prospect calling / appointment booking
  • Client visits
  • Handling of quotes (utilising the support of Commercial Account Handler / other staff where appropriate)
  • Presentation of quotes / renewal terms to clients
  • Time management (esp. when visiting areas further afield, ensuring that as many target prospects are seen during such visits as possible)
  • Cross selling
  • Ongoing relationship management
  • Utilisation of support from Commercial Account Handler and other staff
  • Representation of Lloyd & Whyte and networking at relevant conferences / events, including presentations as required

Assist with, or own, development into new markets / products.

  • Conducting relevant market research and identification / development of prospects and introducers

The successful candidate must have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • High level of professionalism, integrity and commitment
  • Highly target driven / consistently high levels of performance
  • Excellent sales technique, including face to face and over the telephone
  • Pro-active approach, increasing business opportunities through cross selling / prospect calling / visits
  • Tenacity / Persistence, with effective pipeline management
  • Expert knowledge of all relevant commercial & personal business products, keeping up to date with which insurers to use in different circumstances / new product developments
  • Ability to work effectively away from the office, acting on own initiative, with good organisational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of (and adherence to) Financial Services Authority, Compliance, Treating Customers Fairly, Health & Safety at Work, Data Protection and Money Laundering
  • Ownership of own continuing professional development

Qualifications

  • Cert  CII (essential)
  • Dip CII (within 2 years)

Given the nature of the role it is essential that the candidate has a full clean driving licence and their own transport.
