Purpose of role: To be proactive and reactive to sales opportunities in the academic, public and government sectors.
To manage the database sale through the entire process from identification of the opportunity to the closing of the sale, whilst meeting and extending Sales Marketing Plan targets. To service accounts in a professional manner that enhances the customer’s experience of the company and exceeds the customer’s expectations.
- A strong understanding of the Publishing and Database provision.
- Several years’ sales experience.
- The ability to lead and plan own activity.
- Excellent communication skills, including telephone manner and customer focus.
- Ability to learn and constantly update knowledge.
- Good IT and keyboard skills.
- Good time management with the ability to prioritise workload at all times.
- Demonstrate an eye for detail and accuracy of work.
- Ability to perform to expected standard under pressure and to meet deadlines and to work to Service Level Agreements
- Communicate with other staff in a professional manner keeping in tune with daily workload
