Job DescriptionAs the Head of Product Planning and Shipping you will supervise all activities related to shipment of products to customers. You will control, monitor and implement financial scrutiny of all sales orders as defined by the policies and procedures of the organisation.
You will:
Oversee the activities of assigned personnel in the Supply Chain Division
Check and monitor all credit facilities granted to customers before authorizing orders for shipment.
Ensure all SLA and guarantee levels are adhered to with all advanced payment properly documented.
Be responsible for all shipping arrangements including negotiation of charter and shipping rates to ensure efficient and timely delivery to customers.
Oversee and co-ordinate all matter relating to credit with banks and 3rd parties. This includes providing interpretation and guidance to all related commercial personnel.
Work closely with the Finance department, monitoring and controlling sales expenses related to banking activities and to keep them as low as possible.
Be involved in the preparation of contracts for the road/shipping logistics when required.
Provide management reports, including evaluation of service providers with recommendations of freight rates to be used in the formulation of pricing policies.
Person SpecificationSkills and Experience required:
Degree in Business Administration or similar
Minimum 8 years experience in shipping and forwarding within a major industrial organisation.
Understands international bank transactional processes and procedures.
Solid understanding of computer applications.
Excellent English and Arabic communication skills.
