Our client is a long established life assurance and pensions provider established nearly 100 years ago and committed to providing a quality service and products for their customers.  The actuarial team is small and friendly.

 

Job Description

The role

 

·        Helping the life actuarial function update and streamline its internal systems and procedures

·        Assisting with the re-engineering of the valuation systems

·        Updating documentation processes and ensuring documentation is complete and up to date

·        Valuation & regulatory reporting

·        Capital & risk management

·        Assisting in ad hoc actuarial activities

·        Looking at Solvency II issues

·        Undertaking actuarial project work as required

·        Training and scheduling work to ensure team objectives are achieved

Person Specification

The candidate

 

·        Part qualified life actuary

·        Several years industry experience

·        Candidates who have ceased taking the exams will be considered

·        With-profits experience an advantage

·        Experience of reporting and valuations

 

The client would also consider candidates looking for long-term fixed term contracts.
