Import Co-ordinator - Great company

Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shipping Administrator to work for a well established Freight Forwarding company in Southampton. This company offer a full spectrum of Import and Export services world-wide. This role is heavily focussed on Imports and applicants must have an excellent knowledge of Import procedures.
 

The role
This is a very involved position where you will be working within a team and be responsible for the full import process from inception to completion. You will be liaising with a variety of people including suppliers, HMRC and customers. The company has a client base that is diverse and includes significant multi-national names.
 

The ideal candidate
In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have practical experience gained within Freight forwarding and have extensive knowledge of import procedures and CHIEF. You will need to fully understand shipping documentation, customs processes and procedures and industry regulations. You will also need to have a good attention to detail, enjoy dealing with customers and have excellent computer skills. Due to the location of this role, you will need to have your own transport. Knowledge of FCL & SPEX would be ideal but not essential as full training will be given.
