Web Communications Manager

The Institute of Commercial Management (ICM), a professional education and membership body, is seeking a proactive and self-motivated Web Communications Manager.

Your main role will be to maintain and develop the external ICM website. We require someone with strategic vision, who can look at the existing website and implement a strategy to take the website forward and reach our stakeholders in the best possible way.

An appreciation of marketing, both on and offline, is essential, as is a flexible approach to working and the ability to project manage and multitask. As a motivated self-starter, you should have a high quality existing portfolio of work and the proven ability to develop ideas and create new opportunities online.

Working with the Institute’s Global Communications team, you will also have the opportunity to get involved in many associated projects, including video production and design work. We’re looking for a real team player who will meet any challenges with a open and positive nature.

The following skills are essential for this role:

• Degree level or minimum 2 years’ experience with PHP & MySQL
• Database management
• Proven experience with Wordpress CMS platform
• Web content management
• Proven experience in XHTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Knowledge of SEO techniques
• Linux webserver management, SSH, Plesk control panel and FTP
• Server backups
• Domain management
• Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to manage own time
• Project management
• General IT assistance

The following skills would be of benefit to the role:

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro and Illustrator) – proven experience with Adobe InDesign & Adobe Premiere Pro a distinct advantage
• Experience with Google Analytics to produce website usage reports for management
• Flash video encoding and distribution
• Interest / ability in graphic design
• Video production and editing
• Marketing experience
