Exercise and Lifestyle Manager

A leading company in the fitness industry are seeking an Exercise and Lifestyle Manager to join their team. The Exercise and Lifestyle Manager will take ownership for the effective leadership of the fitness team, provide an industry leading induction process, personal training programme, swimming offering and a variety of group exercise classes to engage members and drive attendance.

The position requires high levels of liaison and interaction with other departments, from Sales through to Family Activities. You will monitor satisfaction levels in areas through our member opinion surveys and mystery shopping programme, and will be looking to drive commercial results through the leadership of your team.

Key areas of responsibility are:
• Gym, Studio, Swimming Programme and Lifeguards (where required)
• Payroll, Training and Rotas
• Cost control and revenue generation
• Due Diligence and Health and Safety reporting
• Ensure Esporta standards are adhered to – including CRB checks
• Create timely reports for GM and Member Services Director
• One group exercise class a week and DM shifts as required
The ideal candidate will have:
• A thorough understanding of a premium fitness product at a management level.
• REP's level 3 qualification
• Proven experience of managing a Personal Training offering.
• An understanding of creating a monthly and annual departmental business plan.
• Successfully recruited, developed and lead a team of coaches & personal trainers creating a culture of improving performance and development.
• Experience with induction programs tailored to members needs.
• The ability to create relevant events and group exercise classes tailored to enhance the member’s experience.
