QC Chemist - West Manchester - £16-20,000 per annum

My client is a specialist in industrial fluids and fluid management. Due to an increase in workload a position has now become available for a Quality Control Chemist to join their team.

Reporting to the Quality Manager the primary function of this role is to ensure that all raw materials and finished products are tested in accordance with quality specifications and within company deadlines.
Daily duties will involve:
- Maintaining company quality standards for raw materials and finished products
- Laboratory QC test
- Identifying batches which fall outside of quality standards
- Support with the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Maintaining records on internal computer system

Applicants must have previous industry experience within a quality control position within a materials or environmental company. In addition, knowledge of equipment calibration and maintenance is important. Ideally educated to BSc level in Chemistry, however, equivalent relevant industry experience is also considered.
Applicants will ideally live within commutable distance and have their own transport.

In return my client offers a permanent position with a salary of £16-20,000 dependant upon experience.
