Organisation Description

A public sector organisation is looking for is looking for an Assistant Procurement Manager on a permanent basis.

Job Description

The role includes:
- Working in compliance with European Legislation
- Advising staff on contractual and tender process matters
- Co-managing projects, during and after the procurement process
- Designing, implementing and maintaining procurement systems
- Preparation of tender documentation and managing tender process
- Attending contractor interviews
- Managing the tender process through the OJEU
- Implement procurement processes and advise other on it


Person Specification

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, and have the ability to deal with people at all levels in the organisation. They must be well organised and be able to work upon their own initiative. 

Previous experience within the public sector is essential, along with working knowledge of EU Legislation and contract law. You must also be part or fully qualified in CIPS.
