Our client is a world leader in the exciting, growth business of international education. With more than 40 English language teaching locations in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, they are the first choice English language provider for thousands of students from over 100 countries. They are also a subsidiary of the Washington Post Company. An opportunity has now arisen for an Online Marketing Manager / Social Media Manager to join their team.

This is a newly created position with a great deal of autonomy which requires a social media expert with entrepreneurial flair.

As the Social Media Manager you will help to grow channels by working with the online marketing team, the global sales and CRM team, and the web design team. A true passion for social media is key to this position, as is an awareness of its role in the emerging media and an understanding of international marketplaces.

Your duties will include:

- Assessing potential social media opportunities in terms of providing information for students
- Developing the company’s international social media strategic plan
- Managing a team of interns to help you roll out the plan in multiple markets and languages
- Assessing and reporting on the impact of actions taken and identifying future growth opportunities

To be considered for this position you must have:

- Significant experience of social media tools and channels
- Experience of implementing best practice social media research
- Good knowledge of SEO
- A proven track record in an international environment

As the Online Marketing Manager / Social Media Manager, you should also be an excellent communicator and project manager with a strategic and creative character. Any PR experience and/or fluency in additional languages would be beneficial to your application.
