The Company
A recognised name within the Financial services industry, specialising in providing professional trustees services to UK occupational pension schemes, are looking to recruit a Trustee Director for their London office.

The Role
The Trustee Director will manage a portfolio of Pension Schemes providing professional independent Trustee Services, protecting the interests of scheme members and ensuring that schemes are operating within scheme rules and pensions regulations. The role requires a strong understanding of the Pensions Act 2004 and also a good all round knowledge of the issues affecting occupation pension arrangements. The role also requires an understanding of corporate restructure and or knowledge of insolvency issues in relation to pension schemes. As the position requires regular contact with The Pensions Regulator (TPR) and the Pensions Protection Fund (PPF) it is essential that the jobholder has a good understanding of the purpose and workings of these organisations, and how their respective criteria should be applied to client pension arrangements.

The Person
The ideal candidate will be commercially aware, possessing excellent relationship management skills as you will be liaising with Employers, Trustees, Pensions Managers TPR and other professional bodies. You will be analytical and individuals must have first class communication, leadership and negotiating skills together with the gravitas and presence to command immediate credibility at all levels. Suitable candidates will have a background working for an Accountancy or Actuarial practice, a Legal firm, Employee Benefit Consultancy, an “In House” pension scheme or another Independent trustee company.

The Benefits
In return for your experience, hard work and dedication you will be rewarded with a generous basic salary of up to £70,000 depending on experience and the opportunity to enhance your professional knowledge by gaining more in-depth exposure to areas that working in a traditional pensions environment would not provide.
