Looking for a career in the financial sector with a high-growth business?
Worried about how the current economic climate will affect your options?
AIM-listed Mattioli Woods PLC has enjoyed dynamic growth for almost two decades. Specialising in advising high net worth individuals, Mattioli Woods provides a structured training programme; the opportunity for professional qualifications; and fast-track career progression.
The company
You don’t have to relocate to London to have a successful career in financial services.
Headquartered in Leicester, Mattioli Woods is a successful retirement wealth management (RWM) business, whose core services include the provision of “cutting edge” self invested personal pension planning, the only high growth sector in UK RWM today. Now a PLC, the company was established in 1991, and has grown rapidly, both organically and through acquisition to its current 170 plus staff.
Much of the organisation’s success is down to its graduate recruitment programme, which boasts an enviable retention record and strong internal promotions. The vast majority of senior managers, account managers and consultants joined through this scheme.
The company delivers a highly personalised and holistic service offering encompassing its own investment research division, strategic consultancy, account management and banking. Clients are typically entrepreneurs, senior professional persons and other successful high earners.
The Graduate Recruitment Scheme
From day one you will be part of a larger training team where you will be guided by a dedicated training manager to become a skilled Account Manager. Training will cover all aspects of RWM, including pension accounting and administration, regulation / legislation, strategic consultancy and investment planning.
Responsibility is given early as you move through the training programme, building your own client caseload. In addition to the theoretical and on-the-job development, you will be encouraged to study for the Certificate in Finance Planning and further professional qualifications encompassing consultancy and investments.
From there, a wide range of careers within the organisation are available, depending on your particular strengths and interests. Opportunities include:
• Account Management, including technical specialist roles
• Consultancy
• Investment Research and Broking
• Section Manager
• Training
About You
You’ll be naturally dedicated, diligent, ambitious, and a good communicator with an eye for detail. Historically, graduates have tended to come from disciplines such as Economics, Business Studies, Law, Finance, Mathematics, and English. Whatever your background, you must be able to demonstrate your ability to achieve, either through your academic or work based experience.
How to Apply
Mattioli Woods recruit throughout the year, with programmes starting in November, March and July.
