An independent education recruitment consultancy are seeking an experienced recruitment consultant for our Ipswich office, you will have at least 2 years in recruitment:  Ideally you will be from a finance, banking, insurance or law recruiting background :

You will also possess:

• have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• be able to gain people's confidence and put them at their ease
• be persuasive, persistent and patient
• possess sales skills and be prepared to meet targets
• be of smart appearance
• be able to cope with pressure
• be flexible and adaptable
• possess good organisational and administrative skills
• you will be fully conversant with the MS office, including outlook and excel.
• You will be confident in your approach with a strong “can do” attitude.
• Come from a strong Business to Business sales background.
Duties include
• communicating with existing employers - finding out about employers' job requirements, negotiating fees, getting feedback on candidates, and 'cold calling' and marketing 4myschools services to potential new employer clients.
• Attending Job Fairs and other outside meetings as and when required as the role dictates
• Presenting 4myschools services to existing and new users including face to face meetings on client sites and in branch.
• Interviewing job seekers and matching them to available jobs – this will involve an in depth face to face interview to complete the DCSF checklist.
• You will also be required to draft advertisements to attract new candidates, you will then send the draft copy to the Operations Manager for final approval prior to advert being placed.
• You will inform the Operations Manager and Senior Consultant of the advertising needs and requirements for the branch.
• You will be required to arrange and follow up candidate’s interviews, monitoring the progress of candidates placed, keeping records and dealing with all aspects of their supply and permanent process.
• You will also be required to visit existing and new clients to develop the permanent, supply and vertical markets within the education recruitment environment.
• You will be required to attend relevant meetings and training as and when required, this may mean occasional travel to our Ipswich office.
• Registering candidates and ad hoc administrative duties as and when required.
• You will be given MAS (minimum achievement standard) which you will be targeted and reviewed against on a regular basis.
• You will be required to cover for colleagues who are absent through sickness or holidays.
