Purpose of Position:
• Prepare, code and input invoices on to the accounts system in an accurate and timely basis ensuring appropriate authorisation is received.
• Contribute to the efficient execution of the purchase ledger.
• Assist the Purchase Ledger Supervisor with all month-end procedures to ensure that agreed timescales are achieved.
Key Result Areas:
• To input and maintain accuracy of all supplier payment details and transaction records
• Ensure processing of supplier invoices and expense claims are managed to agreed timescales
• Respond to supplier queries efficiently and effectively
• Ensure all invoices are approved by the appropriate Head of Department prior to payment
• Assist in processing and reconciling payments in accordance with company procedure
• To be accountable for maintaining up-to-date supplier statement reconciliations
• To assist the Purchase Ledger Supervisor in all processes and priorities of the purchase ledger department
• Develop and build strong relationships and networks within the company and externally with relevant suppliers
• Work in conjunction with the Purchase Ledger Supervisor to assist in the continual development of the purchase ledger to improve the efficiency of the department.
