Purpose of the Role
This is a contract role working within the Stores department at a client site responsible for the storage, upgrade and despatch of IT Equipment.
Key Accountabilities
• To be responsible for taking receipt and the dispatching of stock;
• To maintain/ update asset Management Systems and understanding the importance of accurate reporting;
• To manage stock whilst in the stores area;
• To move/ lift various desktop equipment within the stores;
• To move kit from one location to another (pool car will be made available);
• To carry out regular stock checks;
• To install/upgrade hardware e.g. Memory Cards, Mother Boards;
• To maintain accurate stock holding levels and update basic excel spread sheets.
Skills Required
Full UK Driving licence and aged over 21 for Insurance purposes;
Computer literate and able to use Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Attention to detail; able to update data accurately
Basic PC Hardware Experience is desirable as there may be a requirement to swap memory board’s etc.
Good telephone manner and customer service skills essential.
Ability to manually handle and move various desktop IT equipment
