Project Manager

Project Manager required, based in Houghton Regis

We are seeking a Project Managerwith a wealth of commercial experience in the IT solutions arena.  Lantec UK offer technology deployment solutions through out the UK with expertise in expertise in EPoS, ATM, Networking, Card terminal and client-server installations.

Main Purpose of Role
Responsible for planning, delivering and completing projects for Lantec UK ensuring at all times that all documentation is kept up-to-date and that the projects make the required return on investment (ROI). To help ensure Lantec UK is the No 1 service provider of choice due to our logistical and technical field expertise.

Key Accountabilities
• To lead the Professional Services team.
• To plan and prioritise all Lantec UK project activity
• To resource the Projects team correctly to enable high quality project delivery and continued growth
• To lead and manage projects as defined by the Professional Services team;
• To plan and prioritise all project activity within this area;
• To maintain accurate documentation on all activity;
• To report progress against plan and communicate it to colleagues and customers;
• To liaise with other areas of Lantec UK as a team;
• To control all financial aspects of the project;
• To investigate and resolve issues and escalations arising from the project;
• To carry out any other duties which may reasonably be expected/requested;
• To assist in the recruitment of other Project Managers or Implementation Coordinators as and when necessary;
• To manage and lead the Implementation team for all project related activity and report back progress and issues to clients and the senior management team;
• To train, support and develop colleagues at all times;
• To carry out any other duties which may reasonably be expected/requested;
• To be available for training as and when required.

Key Performance Measures/Indicators
• Work is undertaken as per contract requirements and in accordance with written and verbal instructions;
• The Lantec UK Business Engagement process is followed for all projects being planned;
• Able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Project files are always up-to-date when inspected;
• All projects make the expected return as defined in the bid review.

 Job Environment
• Office based (you may be required to go on site on as the business requires).

Work Pattern
• Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

Education
• Educated to a good standard of general education.

Qualifications
• Educated to ‘A’ level or equivalent with relevant experience;
• PRINCE2 Foundation

Knowledge
• Knowledge of IT project processes;
• Basic knowledge of logistics business;
• Retail/banking sector knowledge desirable.

Skills
• Ability to work to short deadlines and rapidly changing priorities;
• Influence and impact at management level both internally & externally;
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills;
• Proficient in MS Office particularly Excel and Word;
• MS Project knowledge;
• PRINCE2 knowledge or qualification.

Experience
• Minimum of 3 years project management experience;
• Ability to demonstrate financial analysis capability;
• People management experience.
