Up to USD $120,000 pa (dependant on experience and qualifications), furnished accommodation or allowance, healthcare, annual flight allowance + baggage allowance, mobilisation/demobilisation flights, company car + fuel allowance.

Our client is a leading UK education and training provider offering premium educational services to customers worldwide. They specialises in providing innovative solutions to the training and development needs of a diverse range of customers both in the UK and overseas. They are now one year into a five year contract to deliver training services at the Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. They deliver and assess Technical National Vocational Qualifications, Key Skills and English to NVQ Level 3 in the Petroleum Industry.

The contract involves equipping and the setting up of the Polytechnicâs workshops, providing curriculum and accreditation to international standards and recruiting teaching and support staff to deliver the training and assessment programs, both in the training centre and also to trainees in the field. Their Instructors deliver the NVQ Level 2 PEO qualification and then a Level 2 qualification in the traineeâs selected specialist skills area. The trainees then go on to undertake a NVQ Level 3 in the workplace.

The role is for a Senior Technical Instructor to develop and manage the Drilling Training program. This successful candidate will manage the team of Trainers who will deliver the technical curriculum at the Polytechnic and carry out on-the-job assessments in the field. You will be responsible for the developing and maintaining the curriculum, setting up the workshop, developing assessments and Standard Operating Procedures in order to meet all the awarding body and client requirements. In addition you will deliver the training programme as and when required, and internally verify all portfolios to the agreed External Verifier and Awarding Body standards. You will also assist in the training, development and certification of training bilingual staff as NVQ Assessors.

Essential Requirements
Minimum of a Diploma level qualification in a relevant engineering/technical subject
Significant relevant industrial experience in drilling and in the oil & gas/petrochemical/chemical industry in general
Previous training program delivery experience
Significant curriculum development and NVQ training programme experience
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentational skills
Excellent IT skills
A1 (Assessor) or V1 (Internal verifier) (D32/D33) qualifications
Management/Supervisory/Team leader experience
