Graphic and Web Designer
Job Description
Purpose
The Graphic Designer will produce design solutions to communicate WPF Therapy’s messages with high visual impact. Graphic design solutions are required by the organisation for a wide variety of products and activities, such as the website, marketing and fundraising leaflets, posters, adverts, corporate communications and corporate identity. In addition, the person will be closely involved in keeping the WPF website up to date in terms of content and visual appeal. The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
Overall Responsibilities
• To be involved in managing the ongoing development of the organisational website including content, design and technical aspects such as online payment and members’ access areas, in consultation with all managers. Will be responsible for keeping the website content and visual appeal relevant to organizational needs.
Tasks
Performance
• To initiate and oversee design from initial concept, through the approvals process, printing and to production
• To develop a number of creative concepts for one-off design requirements, in consultation with marketing and business development teams
• To liaise and negotiate with printers and other suppliers and manufacturers as required
• To develop design briefs by gathering information and data through research.
• To manage production of marketing literature in cooperation with other staff as required.
• Keeping the website updated

Any other reasonable task as instructed by the line manager.
Accountability
The Graphic and Web Designer reports to the CEO
Person Specification
Qualifications
The candidate should hold a qualification in graphic and Web design
Experience
• Hands-on graphic designing
• Experience in e-marketing would be desirable
• Ideally an understanding of the graphic design sector
• Methodical in approach to design work, and tracking approval processes
• Working with printers and management of print processes
• Confident in use of Adobe InDesign (or Corel), Photoshop and Dreamweaver on PC.
• Ideally experience in applying website related software such as HTML
