Our client is a respected high street bank, whom is offering a high quality branch based mortgage advisor opportunity for successful candidates to join and build a career within regulated financial services.
The role
To provide a high quality, customer driven, sales focused service by identifying customer needs, and selling products and services to meet those needs. As you would expect, there is particular emphasis on selling mortgages (through pro-active telephone and face to face interviews), and you will also be expected to sell related protection policies.
Achieved by:
• Providing a high quality, customer driven service by identifying customer needs, and where appropriate selling products and services to meet those needs with particular emphasis on selling the mortgage
• Proactively focusing on developing and strengthening customer relationships and, in doing so, generating new business
• Recognizing the wider financial planning needs of the customer, and making referrals to other areas of the bank where the customer’s wider needs can be met
• Spending time training colleagues to ensure they’re all fully aware of all mortgage and related products
• Communicating confidently and professionally with customers and colleagues
• Providing support to the Branch Manager by identifying and referring appropriate cross sales opportunities
• Staying in touch with existing customers to ensure they’re happy with their product and to maximize the chance of additional referrals
• Remaining calm when faced with challenging or demanding situations
• Keeping up to date with all mortgage and related products/financial issues, as well as with competitor products so honest and fair comparisons can be made when requested
• Mortgage Managers will be encouraged to develop a career in Regulated Financial Advice and where appropriate, undertake the recognised professional exams.
The successful candidates will need to demonstrate the following skills & qualifications:-
• Full CeMAP or equivalent qualified
• Highly committed team player
• Self motivated
• Driven by performance
• Evidence of self development
• Sales related history
• Demonstrate working ‘above & beyond’
• Desire to be developed
• Proactive with interpersonal skills
• Used to working in a targeted environment
In return successful candidates will be rewarded with:-
• Basic Salary from £21,080 to £23,664
