Our client, a leader within the IT market in Northern Ireland currently have a permanent vacancy for an experienced: network Administrator 

Job Description

Our client require a Network Administrator to aid in maintaining and developing the network infrastructure, supporting desktop and server systems, and ensuring smooth operations in a high availability environment. 

This role requires an experienced network administrator who is able to take ownership of providing an efficient and dependable global network, work with staff, and service providers and clients, and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

While this will be predominantly a 9 –5 role, due to the 24 hour nature of the service, there will a requirement to provide out of hours support.

Person Specification

Our client is looking for an experienced networking specialist who is ready to hit the ground running, able to pick up new concepts quickly and accurately, and takes an interest in providing excellent solutions. 

Candidates wishing to apply must possess experience in the following area’s:
Network protocols and technologies (include tcp/udp) 
Experience with WINDOWS servers essential
Knowledge of routing protocols and associated hardware devices
Good communication skills 
Experience of managing multiple projects
Able to configure/setup and manage network equipment (switches/routers etc.)
