Key Account Merchandiser

Founded in 1920, New Era Cap Company, Inc., the leading headwear manufacturer and creator of New Era Apparel, brings to market products that transcend time, culture, sport and fashion. We are currently recruiting for someone to join our Merchandising team at our European HQ in Westcott, near Aylesbury and Bicester. Our office is in a rural location, so a car and driving license is essential.

The role of the Merchandiser is to manage all Key Account customer orders and overseeing all stages of the purchasing process. Our customers include many high street retailers such as Next, River Island and Topman.

Responsibilities

¨ Working closely with the Key Account Managers and Lifestyle SBU Director, you will be a point of contact for the customers.
¨ Ensure all purchase requisitions are processed to order accurately and efficiently.
¨ Ensure the critical paths remain completely up to date at all times.
¨ Communicate effectively with suppliers in the Far East, relaying all information regarding the product specifications to the factory.
¨ Liaise with the Warehouse department to organise final deliveries.
¨ Responsible for managing all stages of the sample approval process
¨ Manage customer call-offs and monitor unshipped inventory
¨ Ensure New Era’s compliance with customer’s supplier requirements throughout production, shipping and invoicing; responsibility for keeping an up-to-date record of requirements
¨ Provide support to Key Account sales team
¨ Liaise with Finance department to ensure customers have credit available
¨ Responsible for all stages of product purchasing, shipping and delivery for your customers in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
¨ Become an “expert” in your customers
 

Skills, Experience and Knowledge
 

¨ Good organisational skills with a strong attention to detail
¨ Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers
¨ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
¨ Experience using SAP is desirable, but not essential
