Why is it important to keep my profile up-to-date?

When you apply for jobs, both your profile information and your CV will be available to the recruiter. To ensure recruiters can find relevant jobs for you, it's important to keep this information up to date.

What information is in my profile?

Information you provide when registering with reed.co.uk is saved in your profile. Your profile includes:

  • Salary details for your next role
  • Current and target job titles
  • Your CV
  • Your contact details
  • Your home and preferred work locations
  • Sign in details
  • Contact preferences
  • Jobs you've applied for

Your sign in details and contact preferences can’t be seen by recruiters.

How can I update my profile?

To update your profile, you'll need to be signed in to your reed.co.uk account. Once you're signed in, you can click on your name in the top right hand corner of any page and click on 'Profile'. Alternatively, you can click on the 'Update' link in the profile summary box on the right hand side of the homepage when you're signed in to your account.

How do I update my sign in details?

To update your sign in details, you'll need to be signed in to your reed.co.uk account. Once you're signed in, you can click on your name in the top right hand corner of any page and click 'Sign in details'. You can then click the 'Change email' or 'Change password' links to update your details.

How can I control which emails I receive?

To update your contact preferences, you'll need to be signed in to your reed.co.uk account. Once you're signed in, you can click on your name in the top right hand corner of any page and click 'Contact preferences'. You can then choose which emails you'd like to receive and click 'Save changes'.

How can I delete my reed.co.uk account?

If you're sure you would like to delete your account, please contact reed.co.uk and select 'Delete account'.

Please note: your account details and CV will be permanently deleted, so you'll need to re-register to apply for jobs on reed.co.uk in the future.

Alternatively, you can decide to keep your account open, but not to receive emails or allow recruiters to view your CV until you need our services again. You can update these details by signing in and clicking on your name in the top right hand corner of any page and clicking 'Contact preferences'.

The jobs you email me aren't what I'm looking for, how can I update them?

If the jobs we send you aren't quite right, you can edit them by clicking the 'Edit' button in the emails we send to you.

Alternatively, you can update your email alerts when you're signed in to reed.co.uk by clicking on your name in the top right hand corner of any page and clicking 'Saved searches & email alerts'. From the saved searches page, click on the name of any saved search to view and edit it.
