The reed.co.uk Short Film Competition 2013 is closed for entries. This year, we asked for short films about 'Ambition'. While the judges decide which film will take home the Grand Prix of £10,000, it's up to you to select the People's Choice Award Winner.

Watch and vote for your favourite film now. Not sure what it’s all about? Here’s a reminder of the brief:

The Challenge:

Open to anyone, on any budget, in any genre, we asked for your short films about 'Ambition'.

What's up for grabs?

The best 12 films will be shortlisted and put before a panel of expert judges who'll choose this year's winners.

The shortlist will be screened at an exclusive awards ceremony at BAFTA in May.

The Grand Prix winner will walk away with £10,000. And that's not all. Winners of the People's Choice, Judges' Commendation and Best Young Filmmaker categories will each take home £1,000.

More exposure for your film...

With more than five million visitors to the site each month, reed.co.uk provides the perfect platform to showcase up-and-coming filmmakers’ work.

It could be you...

Our Short Film Competition has been an excellent way to support new creative talent in whatever career path they choose.

In 2012, former finalists Jonathan Brooks and Mat Laroche were hired by reed.co.uk to direct a commercial for our first major television campaign.

Along with having their work seen by our network of jobseekers, recruiters and film fans, our winners turn industry heads too.

Oscar Sharp, winner of our first competition, clinched a BIFA nomination for his winning film, Sign Language, and is working on his first feature film, starring Olivia Colman. 2011 finalist, Jason Wingard, is working with the BFI on his next film, while Mike Lee Thomas is pursuing a very successful career as a commercials director, working with brands including Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Wella, Tissot and Lacoste.
