Established in early 2011, General Assembly is a global educational institution that is building a community of individuals empowered to pursue work they love. We offer classes, workshops, full-time immersive programs and online educational programming on the most relevant skills of the 21st century economy. With over 5,500 alumni in our network and partners like McKinsey, Google for Entrepreneurs and American Express - our students emerge from the courses better qualified and more marketable to current and potential employers.

What makes our Web-Development Immersive Programme different?

The more you know, the more you grow. Here are just some of the benefits of learning with us:

1. 95% of Web Development students find jobs within three months of graduating.

2. Our Apprentice Programme allows graduates to get real-world practice and training in a three-month, paid apprenticeship.

2. We have 650 hiring partners in London ready and waiting to work with our immersive grads.

3. In addition to our instructors, there are alumni on hand five nights a week to help you troubleshoot any challenge.

4. We hold Getting Hired workshops and Job Search standups to get you ready – from your Github profile to your portfolio and CV.

Fun fact:

Did you know that web development is the most in-demand digital skill in London? Whether you’re a consultant, creative, sales or professional services expert, the Web Development Immersive programme can completely transform your career in this exciting and lucrative field.

What you will learn:

This full-time, 12-week experience is intended to accelerate you on the path to becoming a junior, full-stack programmer.

Our curriculum team works hard researching and identifying the most relevant skills and topics to cover, in addition to the most effective instructional methods and strategies in which to teach them. We work with hiring managers and industry experts to understand the ever-evolving job market, and facilitate opportunities for our graduates as they enter the field.

Though you will be ready for your first web development role upon graduating from WDI, your educational journey does not end after three months. Programming takes years to master and requires continual practice. Our program is designed with this in mind and provides the necessary resources and support to allow you to continually improve on the core skills you learn in WDI.

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
