Our CV enhancement course is designed to improve your employability and give you the relevant knowledge and competitive edge you will require to work in teaching. It is ideal for both new and existing teachers looking to develop the key skills required in private schools and classroom settings.

The course has been co-written by PGCE qualified teachers and all of the areas covered are found in the PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education). It is important to note the course is not equivalent to the PGCE and will not qualify you as such. The course has been awarded a quality mark from Aim Awards, a nationally recognised awarding body for training courses in the UK.

6. The National Curriculum and Effective Teaching Methods to Address IT
7. Safeguarding and Child Protection
8. Routes into Teaching and the Initial Teacher Training (ITT) Application Process
9. Understanding Learning Disabilities *NEW for 2013*

Structure of the course

The course will take 9 weeks to complete, and is e-learning based meaning you can complete it from the comfort of your own home. You will be required to attend one online class a week from a choice of times and dates to be discussed with your consultant:

Throughout the course you will have the opportunity to speak directly with your tutor and fellow students, allowing you to ask questions and share experiences.

The course covers all aspects that employers would like to see, and is structured to be directly relevant to each of the Key Stages. It offers you multiple opportunities to practice and importantly helps you develop into a much stronger applicant moving forward, giving you the competitive edge you need.

Cost of the course

Our entire (optional) online CV enhancement courses are subject to a £295 fee, which is payable upon enrolment.

CRB checks

All teachers will require an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) clearance before they are allowed to work unsupervised with anyone under the age of 18. There is a £65 charge to carry out a CRB check and the team at 'Developing Your Potential' can help you apply for this. If you have already had a CRB check and would like to know if it is still valid, one our recruitment team can help with this.
