Module 1 – The Skin – Part One
- Summarise the functions of the skin
Module 2 – The Skin – Part Two
- Explain why it is important to develop good habits with regards to skin care
Module 3 – Personal Hygiene
- Discuss Personal Hygiene and the need for a woman to be 'clean' not only externally, but internally as well
Module 4 – Beauty and Health
- The transition from girl to young woman and from young woman to mature woman takes time and, as in everything else, the processes will be shorter, longer, easier or more complicated depending on a number of factors – discuss these factors
Module 5 – Skin Care
- Summarise the importance of good skin care
Module 6 – Hand Protection
- Discuss the ways and means of caring for the hands
Module 7 – Hair
- Examine the five characteristics that the student should look for which determine the look of the hair
Module 8 – The Face
- Summarise the various facial shapes discussed in this unit
Module 9 – Skin Colours
- Whatever the colour of the skin, the same basic rules apply – examine these rules
Module 10 – The Facial Work-Out
- Explain the steps involved in one of the Facial Work-Outs discussed in this unit
Assessment
Assessments are a great way of checking your progress allowing you to apply your learning to real-world situations. Through the Teenage Beauty Make-Over Specialist (Level 3) Course by NCFE, students will be assessed by a series of written assignments, which are submitted to and marked by your tutor.
All assignments are set by NCFE. Upon verification of the activities, exercises and assignments, a certificate of achievement will be awarded by the national awarding organisation NCFE, as confirmation that your written work has met all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for the programme.
There is no external examination required.

Study Time
Study Hours are an approximate figure and are dependant upon how much time you can dedicate to your studies and how well you grasp the learning concepts in the course material. Furthermore, at the end of each lesson there is a question paper that needs to be completed and returned to your tutor. You should allow enough time to complete assignments/ question papers.
