CACHE Level 3 Award in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities (QCF)
The CACHE Level 3 Award in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities (QCF) build on the knowledge and skills gained in the Level 2 Award and Certificate in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities. Both qualifications are aimed at managers,unsupervised carers or senior workers who come into contact with or will be supporting individuals with learning disabilities as part of their job role.
The course covers the areas of study listed above through detailed exploration of the subject matter. You will also receive tasks and prompts for further personal exploration, plus research to carry out. This will also help you to keep track of how much you have learned. There are plenty of examples in the course materials, but personal research is expected at this level, so be prepared to use your initiative to fully answer the assignments.

To gain the Award learners must achieve a minimum of 12 credits. 4 credits must be achieved from the mandatory units. The remaining 8 credits have to be achieved from the choice of optional units. 7 of these credits must be achieved at level 3 or above

Assessments
The CACHE Level 3 Award in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities (QCF) course will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task set by CACHE.The course contains a number of assignments which your tutor will mark and give you valuable feedback on. You need only send these to your tutor for comment, not the self-assessment exercises which are also part of the course to help you gauge your progress. If the prospect of exams frightens the life out of you, there is even more good news.
There is no final exam!

- Should be at least 16 years old
- Learners will need sufficient numeracy and literacy
- Students should have access to a computer and the internet throughout your study period.
- Learners should have basic PC skills in order to navigate our Support Portal
- You should be fully committed to your studies.
