Overview
This course suits anyone who wish to understand how to analyse structures using statics.
Description
Structural analysis and mechanics is the study of structural behaviour. Mechanics is used by engineers to ensure structural members can support design loads. In this course, students will learn the basics of mechanics and statics to analyse beam and frame members.
Objectives of the course:
- Understand the properties and behaviour of Engineering Materials
- Understand the load transfer in structural elements design
- Introduction to different types of beam cross sections
- Section properties
- Static equilibrium
- Analysis of Cantilevers
- Analysis of Simply supported beams
- Analysis of frames
The class room training starts from 10 am to 5 pm in Stratford 10 minutes away from Stratford train station.
Who is this course for?
Engineers or any one who has an interest in gaining a new skill in engineering particularly in the area of structural analysis
