Overview

This Distance Learning Nursery Management Level 3 course has been designed to meet the needs of those wishing to enter a management-level career in a nursery or pre-school child care setting.

Description

For the Nursery Management Level 3 course you will cover the following content:-

Unit 1: The management of nursery staff

Unit 2: Safeguarding children

Unit 3: Health and safety for children and staff

Unit 4: The early years foundation stage: curriculum and assessment

Unit 5: Creating a positive nursery environment

Unit 6: Supporting and planning self-directed play

You must successfully complete a series of assignments. Once all assignments and activities have been completed satisfactorily, you will then be awarded your certificate. The good news is, there is no final exam.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).

Requirements

You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this home study course. This course is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.

Career path

You could work for a local authority, a privately owned nursery or a Sure Start Children's Centre.

With experience, you could become an area manager and look after the work of a number of nurseries. You might also consider setting up your own private nursery. Ofsted have information on how to do this.

You could become a trainer or training assessor for people studying for childcare qualifications.
