Overview

This postgraduate level qualification provides leading, research based insights and tools to review and create strategic talent management and career development strategies, to help private and public sector organisations achieve and sustain success.

Talent management is essential and very current for human resources in its efforts to add value to any organisations' business objectives. It draws together how to attract, develop, retain and ensure you have the right leadership in place for future success.

Career Management recognises that engaging and seeking to understand and deliver what employees want and need will build retention and ensure talent is not wasted, and many leading organisations are now realising this.

The qualification addresses the multi-faceted context of the demand for performance – more from less – and the need to balance this with the needs and desires for achievement and structure from individuals and groups in the workplace. Using leading tools and techniques students are encouraged to align their coursework with initiatives currently going on in their job.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Talent and Career Management can also be provided in-house. This is a cost-effective approach if you have a number of people who require training. You choose where and when you want our trainers to deliver.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
