NEBOSH International General Certificate e-learning

Overview

For many the NEBOSH International General Certificate is a key step in a career in health and safety.

As well as providing a sound basis for further professional study, successful completion of the course enables you to apply for Technical Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) and for the Associate Membership of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management, allowing you to use AIIRSM after your name.

Who is it for?

The NEBOSH International General Certificate is designed for managers, supervisors and employees whose working activities take them outside the UK. In addition this course is aimed at those seeking a career in Health and Safety overseas and who need a broad understanding of the principles and practice of health and safety.

Users are provided with a personal login so they can access their course anytime, anywhere. All that is required is an internet connection.

Description

The syllabus covers the main legal requirements for health and safety, identification and control of workplace hazards and the practical application of this knowledge.

The qualification is divided into three units:

• IGC 1: Management of Health and Safety

• IGC 2: Controlling workplace hazards

• IGC 3: Health and safety practical application

Exam:

To gain the certification you will have to sit 2 two hour assessments and a practical risk assessment.
