NEBOSH Diploma

Overview

A NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety is awarded to all who successfully complete the course and all assessments, along with an invitation to attend the annual NEBOSH Graduation and Awards Ceremony in the year following successful completion of the award.

Holders of the award may also use the letters 'DipNEBOSH' after their name.

The National Diploma provides a sound basis for progression to MSc level, as well as enabling you to apply for graduate membership of IOSH (Grad I0SH) and membership of the International Institute of Risk Managements (IIRSM) using MIIRSM after your name.

Who is it for?

The NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety is designed for professional health and safety advisors and environmental practitioners aiming to complete a post-graduate level qualification.

Description

The qualification is divided into four units, each of which is assessed separately:
• Unit A: Managing Health & Safety
• Unit B: Hazardous agents in the workplace
• Unit C: Workplace and work equipment safety
• Unit D: Application of health and safety theory and practice.

Your knowledge and understanding of Units A,B and C are assessed by three separate three-hour written exams.
Assessment of Unit D is designed to test your knowledge and understanding across the syllabus with a written, work-place assignment of approximately 8,000 words.
