How is the course structured?

The Mathematical Skills (Basic) course is divided into thirteen comprehensive units:

  • Unit 1: Developing and Applying Number Skills
  • Unit 2: Developing and Applying Addition and Subtraction Skills
  • Unit 3: Multiplication of Whole Numbers
  • Unit 4: Division of Whole Numbers
  • Unit 5: Developing and Applying Fraction Skills
  • Unit 6: Developing and Applying Decimal Skills
  • Unit 7: Money: Adding and Subtracting
  • Unit 8: Time
  • Unit 9: Measure: Distance and Length
  • Unit 10: Measure Capacity and Temperature
  • Unit 11: Developing and Applying Shape and Space Skills
  • Unit 12: Data Handling: Recording and Representing Data
  • Unit 13: Data Handling: Extracting and Interpreting Data
