Level 1 Food Safety – Catering Industry

The Level 1 Food Safety Course for Catering is designed to improve the Food Safety & Food Hygiene knowledge and skills of all relevant staff working in the Catering Industry.

Description

The Level 1 Award in Food Safety for Catering is intended for people working in the catering environment in a low-risk role but where there is an element of food handling and a requirement for high standards of food safety and food hygiene.

This could include:

· bar workers,

· waiting staff

· health care workers

· kitchen porters

· stock/store room staff

Once this qualification is gained the person will know that food safety and food hygiene is the responsibility of everyone involved in the storage, preparation, processing, packing and handling of food.

The Level 1 Food Safety Course for Catering includes 4 modules in total that cover the basics of Food Safety & Hygiene.
