Who is it for? 

If you plan to build a career in information security the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) certification is designed to validate your skillset and prove to employers that you are a top information security professional. A CISSP is an information assurance professional who defines the architecture, design, management and/or controls that assure the security of business environments.

Are there any requirements?

Valid experience includes information systems security-related work performed, or work that requires information security knowledge and involves direct application of that knowledge.  For the CISSP certification, five years of cumulative work experience in two of the ten CISSP domains is required. If you do not have the required experience, you may still sit for the exam and become an Associate of (ISC)²® until you have gained the required experience.
