This practioner short course looks at the stages of the purchasing process, including cycle and lead times, as well as analysing market information to inform purchasing decisions. Conducting appraisals of suppliers is addressed as well as the development of effective communications and business relationships with suppliers. This practioner short course also covers purchasing plans and their development and understanding supply contract legislation in your country, and identifies the most efficient processes for purchasing supplies and managing the cost implications.

Course Delivery

This is an online short course and is estimated to take 12 hours to complete. You will choose your optional areas of study once you have enrolled. You will complete the course within the IoSCM Learning Platform where you will be able to log-in online and complete your course on the platform at your own pace, and at any time.

Assessment

There are no exams to sit. Assessment is via a series of multiple choice questions aimed to test your knowledge and understanding of the topics covered in this short course. The assessment contains various styles of questions which will be selected at random within the learning platform. You will be able to complete the assessment at any time.
