Do you have a flair for design and would enjoy seeing an idea in your head forming into reality by adding those vital finishing touches that can really make a room come to life? Interior designers are creative, imaginative and artistic. They also need to be disciplined, organized and skilled business people. Combining knowledge with aesthetic vision, interior designers work with clients and other design professionals to develop design solutions that are safe, functional, attractive and meet the needs of the people using the space.
The objectives of the Distance Learning Interior Design course are:
- Understand the history of interior design
- Learn about classic design styles and the work of leading designers
- Investigate the seven design elements which contribute to a design,
- Explore the room elements which influence design
- Undertake an actual interior design project
- Develop a business plan for establishing a design business and also to identify tools of the trade.
This Level 3 Interior Design course will set out how you can make a living from your chosen career by looking at whether you have what it takes to embark on a career as an interior designer and explains factors such as Tax, VAT and insurance; to be sure that you have covered all of the requirements to set up and run your own Interior Design business.

Awarding Organisation
At the end of this course successful learners will be awarded a certificate of achievement by NCFE. This course has been accredited under NCFE IIQ Licence by Kendal Publishing Limited which has been approved as an NCFE Investing in Quality (IIQ) centre to give formal recognition to our courses. We have designed our training courses specifically to meet the needs of learners who prefer to study from home. The course measurable learning outcomes have been benchmarked at Level 3 (using Ofqual's Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) level descriptors) to allow you to consider the depth of study, difficulty, and level of achievement involved.
Requirements
You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.
You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.
