Are there any requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements for the IAB Level 2 & 3 Accounting for Business course. However it is recommended that prospective candidates have basic skills in numeracy, information technology and literacy prior to embarking on a course of study for this qualification.

What skills will I gain?

In the IAB Level 2 Computerised Accounting for Business you will cover manual bookkeeping techniques while learning to use Sage 50 Accounts – the software of choice for most small and medium sized organisations. In fact, Sage 50 is a comprehensive business management system that can provide valuable information on customers, suppliers, products and areas of profitability.

The syllabus covers a variety of computerised bookkeeping techniques, such as exporting and importing data and electronic submissions, financial data security, creating and emailing invoices and statements and more giving you IAB associate status.

The Level  3 section of the course will instruct you how to get the best from Sage bookkeeping and undertake the full range of practical business management tasks facilitated by this powerful system. You will also be taught to manage fixed assets, month end and year end accounts, doubtful debts and many other essential functions and skills.
