Overview

The Pearson Edexcel BTEC Level 5 HND online distance learning course in Hospitality Management provides greater breadth and specialisation than the Edexcel BTEC Level 4 HNC Diploma. It allows progression into or within employment in the hospitality sector, either directly on achievement of the award or following further study to degree level. It has a credit value of 240 credits.

Description

The HND in Hospitality Management has 16 units. Duration 12 months. Approximately 5 to 10 hours a week of Self Study. Assignments are research project assignments, NOT academic assignments.Research project assignments are based on data and information published and available online and offline. Therefore, you will be expected to do research projects for these assignments, and NOT write academic assignments based on theory. You will be given guidance by your tutor. You will need to complete 9 research project assignments. There are no examinations.

The course is ideal for those who would like to gain an entry qualification into Year 3 of a Bachelor degree at a UK, European or International university. The HND provides progression into or within employment in the Hospitality sector, either directly on achievement of the award or following further study to degree level.

Requirements

Be 18 years or over, English language fluency to IELTS Level 5.5. , a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Hospitality


OR GCE Advanced level profile which demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject


OR an adequate performance in more than one GCE subject. This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at A* to C other related level 3 qualifications


OR an Access to Higher Education Certificate awarded by an approved further education institution OR related work experience.


OR


Over 18 years old, with work experience and/or achievement of a range of professional qualifications in a work sector.
