This Health Care Diploma is concerned with your role, as a care worker, in identifying ways of communicating on difficult, complex and sensitive issues, in a variety of settings and situations.

Also explored are ways the care worker can support others to communicate and update records and reports.

The Diploma is also concerned with concerned with how you promote, monitor and maintain security in the work environment. You are required to provide evidence of how you keep yourself, individuals and others for whom you are responsible safe and secure and minimise risks arising from incidents and emergencies (including health emergencies).

You will also examine and analyse methods of reflecting on and developing your practice.

Updating your knowledge and taking action to enhance your practice are vital to meeting the changing needs of individuals in your care, and the demands of a rapidly advancing health care system.

COURSE ASSESSMENT

COURSE DURATION

We recommended you spend approximately 200 hours of your time studying for the course name. The pace of study is completely up to you. To give an example, if you dedicate 4 hours a week to the course it would take you a year to complete but if you could spare 8 hours a week you could complete it in six months.
