Description

For ALL of our courses, we ONLY teach small groups of between 6-10 students. This means you will ALWAYS receive the support you need from your tutor.

For the part-time course, you will enjoy a blended mix of home study and face to face, classroom learning at set weekends. Over the course of the 7 weeks you will attend 4 practical training weekends with one of our awesome tutors, spread apart strategically to make it easier for you to plan around your other commitments. Whilst studying at home, you can always be assured you will never be alone because you will have access to your tutor on a 1-2-1 basis whenever you need it! And we set you up in your own personal study group using instant messaging platforms so you and your fellow students can always communicate with each other!

For the full-time course, you will attend 4 days a week for 2 weeks and qualify. Again, throughout this course you have access to your tutor and you will be in a small group of between 6-10 students.

What will you be doing on your course?

You will be studying lots about the human body, how it works and how best to train it for health and fitness. In addition to your theory sessions, you will also enjoy lots of practical sessions whereby you practice all the exercises you need to learn until you perfect them!

After you have covered and perfected everything, you will sit two theory exams that are multiple choice, but still challenging! And you will also deliver a gym programme to a pretend client whilst being observed by one of our assessors. When you have passed all of this, you can call yourself a fitness professional!

Who is this course for?

If you are interested in how the human body works, have a keen interest in health and fitness and like the idea of doing something you enjoy every day, this is for you. This is a great introduction and first step in to the fitness industry.

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
