Overview

In just 15 hours of self-paced study, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge required to be able to plan exciting events!

You can study this course from home via distance learning, or from one of our centres in Manchester or London's Holborn, Notting Hill or Croydon.

The course is taught through an audio guide and a workbook, which is yours to keep at the end of the course for future reference.

This is a self-paced course that means you can drop in and study when you like, at times to suit you during our long opening hours.

We're open weekdays, evenings and Saturdays in all of our centres, and we have a fantastic training team who will be on hand to help if you get stuck.

Description

Pitman Training's Event Management course is made up of 6 self-paced lessons, covering a wide range of topics.

Some of the areas covered include:

Identifying the different stages of an event, costing and pricing, identifying events that will appeal to the target market, recruiting staff and volunteers, creating an event plan, booking special guests, using external providers, managing teams, attracting and managing sponsorships, promoting the event (including social media), tickets, logistics, contingency planning, risk management, venues, rehearsals and pre-event briefings, how to handle common problems during the event, evaluating the event, post event promotion, careers in event management.
