Suitable for those that have no previous qualifications, who want to become Personal Trainers.

Start your career in personal training, manage your own client-base and share your passion for fitness. With limitless earning potential and a guaranteed interview at a leading UK gym as soon as you have finished your course. No previous experience or qualifications necessary.

We offer 'Distance Learning' which is self-directed study. We will send you electronic-learning course papers so you can learn and revise at your own pace. When you are ready for the assessment you can either attend at one of our London centres, or submit a DVD of your assessments and send to us for marking.

We will provide all the knowledge and training to gain a Level 2 & Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training which is REPS recognised.

We also guarantee you an interview with Fitness First in the UK.

Description

The course comprises Level 2 Fitness Instructor modules and assessment & Level 3 Personal Training modules and assessment.

 

Level 2 Fitness Instructing (Gym) units:

Unit 1 – Anatomy and physiology for exercise-theory paper

Unit 2 – Know how to support clients who take part in exercise and physical activity-worksheet

Unit 3 – Health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment-worksheet

Unit 4 – Principles of exercise, fitness and health-theory paper

Unit 5 – Planning gym-based exercise-programme design

Unit 6 – Instructing gym-based exercise-practical assessment

Level 3 Personal Training units:

Unit 1 – Anatomy and physiology for health and exercise-theory paper

Unit 2 - Applying the principles of nutrition to a physical activity programme-theory paper

Unit 3 – Programming personal training with clients-worksheet

Unit 4 – Delivering personal training sessions-practical assessment

The courses are a mixture of theory and practical.  You will be assessed on both elements.

Who is this course for?

People who have a strong desire to start a career in personal training. You will run your own expanding client-base; combining excellent customer relationships with a passion for health and fitness.

No previous fitness qualifications necessary

Career path

Start as a PT working freelance in a gym; build a client-base, work in studios, start your own company and have other P.Ts work for you. Successful P.Ts can earn £30k in their first year, and upwards of £50k in to their 3rd year. There are limitless possibilities for earning.

The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
