Description
The aim of the CIM Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Marketing is to introduce learners to the concept of marketing and what it means to be a marketing orientated organisation. The course will consider the impact of the external environment and how markets are segmented. Finally it will examine the marketing mix and how it can be used in a variety of different organisations and industry sectors.
On completion of this CIM course the learner should be able to;
- Analyse the external environment using contemporary tools and techniques
- Select and justify a range of market segments for a variety of different products and services
- Explain how the marketing mix can be utilised to meet a marketing brief.
- Formulate a series of recommendations for an effective customer relationship strategy.
Unit 1 - What is Marketing
1.1 Determine the importance of marketing as a cross-functional activity contributing towards business success.
1.2 Explain the importance of understanding the organisation's marketing environment and the impact it has upon an organisation's ability to satisfy customer needs and wants.
1.3 Identify each element of the marketing mix in the context of customer needs and achieving customer satisfaction.
1.4 Apply the marketing mix to a range of different organisational sectors and contexts.
Unit 2 - Understanding Customer Relationships
2.1 Explain the importance of understanding customers, and how marketing information aids the better development of marketing activities to achieve customer satisfaction.
2.2 Explain the value and importance of internal and external relationships of the organisation and the importance of networking, collaboration and co-operation in order to develop and maintain relationships.
2.3 Explain the different ways in which to communicate with both internal and external customers in order to develop, maintain and strengthen customer relationships.
2.4 Explain the requirements for developing effective and efficient customer.
Who is this course for?
The CIM Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Marketing is aimed at those who wish to work within Marketing or alternatively for those working in Marketing wishing to gain an accredited qualification.
Requirements
This is an open access qualification – NO qualifications or marketing experience are required. However, some work experience would be advantageous. This course is ideal for learners who would like to gain a basic understanding of marketing principles, especially if you have little or no knowledge and experience in marketing.
