Overview
The ability to read, understand and analyse financial statements is a vital business skill. It is often said that accounting is the ‘language’ of business. This course teaches you to ‘speak’ this language. You will gain a full introduction to the principles and role of financial accounting, as well as how to record business transactions in an accounting system using the double entry approach. You will also learn how to analyse key financial reporting: balance sheets, income statements and statements of cash flows – from both a UK and International Financial Reporting Standards perspective.
