Overview

The course enables students to develop knowledge and skills in purchasing and supply to tackle complex activities and problems and work with a range of procurement procedures. It also provides students with the necessary knowledge to move on to more advanced CIPS procurement courses.

Who is it for?

CIPS Level 3 is designed for those who are new to a buying or procurement role with minimal experience and no formal purchasing qualifications. CIPS Level 3 is a procurement course covering the fundamental concepts, enabling students with little or no experience the skills to develop their career in procurement.

    Financial analysis (P&L, profit ratios)
    Operational objectives (5 rights)
    Developing specifications
    Sourcing suppliers

    Purchasing contracts and T&C's

    Stock control (ABC, kanban, VMI, EOQ, JIT)
    Stock handling (EPOS, RFID, EFTPS)
