Overview

This course is designed to stimulate interest and encourage learners' understanding of the skills and knowledge needed to care for a baby or young child. The course also supports students in developing basic literacy and numeracy.

Description

The course covers the following topics: Confidence building in young children, supporting children in the development of speaking and listening, value of routine and play for a child’s development, healthy lifestyle and eating, the importance of valuing and respecting children. In addition, you will complete a product that can be used to help young children learn. You will develop workplace-related language and build your confidence when using numeracy for work-related problems.
